Privacy Policy

Overview

This policy explains how Dreamline collects, uses, stores, and deletes data for the Dreamline iPhone app, Apple Watch companion features, and website at dreamline.cloud.

Data We Collect

  • Account identity and authentication data.
  • Dream entries, saved Dream Analysis outputs, journal metadata, and bookmarks.
  • Birth inputs such as date, optional birth time, and location if you provide them for chronotype features.
  • Derived metrics such as Body Readiness, Dream Score, Sleep Guard events, and Connections settings.
  • Usage, crash, and reliability analytics for product stability and abuse reduction.

HealthKit Handling

Dreamline requests read-only access to selected Apple Health data such as sleep, HRV, and resting heart rate, plus Apple Watch motion and sleep-related signals for Sleep Guard when enabled. Raw HealthKit values are processed on-device and are not uploaded as raw streams. Only derived scores, summaries, and opt-in event logs are synced.

AI Processing Consent

Dream text and selected context are sent to cloud AI only after explicit in-app consent. AI is used for Dream Analysis, Rhythm Brief writing, and other narratives you explicitly request. If consent is not granted, deterministic features still work and cloud narrative generation does not run.

Social Visibility and Sharing

Friends and circles never receive your raw private dream text or raw Health values by default. Connections surfaces show derived Dream Sync and Body Sync outputs, shared motifs, and any content level you explicitly choose to share.

Deletion Rights

You can request account deletion from Settings in the app or by contacting support. Deletion enters a 30-day recoverable state, after which data is permanently removed if you do not restore access.

Third-Party Services

  • Firebase / Google Cloud for authentication, storage, and infrastructure.
  • OpenAI for opt-in Dream Analysis and Rhythm Brief writing.
  • Apple services including StoreKit and HealthKit for purchases and optional health access.

Children's Privacy

Dreamline is not directed to children under 13.
